Need help with Mercury Serial #

The serial number on the plate near the transom is serial# 3059410. But the online serial number search comes up with nothing? I don’t know the year either.? The motor has stickers Mercury 80
 
What you have is not an 81 or newer.----Likely an older motor with newer decals.----An 81 model does not have a belt driven distributor.
