How to test 1970 high side ignition coil (driver) in the distributer?

I have a Mercury Thunderbolt 500 50 HP motor that I suspect has a bad ignition driver coil. Part 333-3175 (red). The green part 333-3176 shows continuity but the red does not. I purchase a new coil but it doesn't show continuity either so either its bad or both are good. How can I test them? Both show a ohm reading around 4 ohms.

Its a total rebuild so I am just going through everything. I had to pull the wiring out of the distributor because it was corroded and breaking so installing the new wiring I decided to test the coils. And, that is what I found. So, just trying to make sure I have a good coil in place.
