Hi there,
Have just bought a Mercury 6hp 4-stroke single cylinder outboard second hand from an elderly guy who was giving up boating due to old age.
After I got it home I noticed I could not find the serial number on the transom bracket or on the Welsh plug on the block as it was not there. Please does anyone know where else it may be on the engine. Beginning to think I have bought a dodgy outboard?
If I need any parts for it I am now stuck. I would be grateful for any advice.
