Electrolysis damage...cause of overheating?

Took it out for a short dinner cruise last night. Pinned it at WOT for 30 seconds.
performed great like it always has. Temps looked like they were just starting to creep up when I backed it down to normal cruise. The needle got to halfway between 170 to 180 when I backed it down. Don't know it it would have continued to rise if I kept it at WOT. I was nervous to push it.

I dont recall it ever getting hotter than. 170 before but I'm not sure I really paid enough attention to it to know. The port motor always shows hotter on the gauge than starboard but taking temps with a laser gun in July showed them both to be identical

im going to just run it the rest of the season and keep an eye on things then do a thorough inspection of the outdrive when I pull it for the winter
