Restoring a 1966 VX-12R

Hi!
I have a 1966 Johnson VX-12R 60 hp V4 that has been sitting in carage unused for 50 years. Thus the engine is almost unused. I was able to get the engine running after cleaning and setting the points and changing the spark plugs. I will replace/service quite a lot of parts (belt, ignition, carbs, fuel pump, impeller, etc) in order to get a reliable motor. A couple of questions:
1. How to set the timing marks? Should the engine be in neutral with full throttle (i.e. Magneto in contact with the limiter connected to the gear lever)?
2. Is the above mentioned position correct also for adjusting the timig with the carbs (i.e. The lever from throttle to magneto aligned with the triangle shaped part)?
3. How to adjust the carbs? (are there other adjustment screws than the obvious two idle knobs)

Many thanks in advance for your advice!
