could any one help me out to find these 2 engine year and as much info as possible 7075688 and 7220689 looking to switch pieces from 1 to the other just wondering if it would work! thank you

7075688 is 1975 and 7220689 is 1985 ten years is a long time for mercs. those are canadain serial numbers converted to US numbers use 4112637 for the 1975 and 6630171 for the 1985 and see if the part numbers match you want to swap?

I just checked you can use the canadian serial numbers just find the range but I believe your SOL on swapping many parts maybe a gearbox, mercs were not good for parts interchange between years.

Thank you so much. Actually pieces I'm looking to switch are only the tilt/trim from my 85 to the 75 and the starter as well . The 75 compression stand between 135 /150 on all piston and my 85 is missing compression the number 2 down in Canada it is easier and cheaper to get another one then getting it fixed since no one touches these motor anymore

Actually the power trim solenoid are internal in my 85 it is a 8pin harness and the 75 is a 6pin harness I will have to make a work around for the solenoid of my power trim so it's goes onboard what concern me is mostly the swivel bracket if it is going to fit
