White smoke And no gear engagement 225HP merc opti 06

Hello all! 1st time posting .. el would not engage in to drive forward or reversed and then after running it dockside for a little bit noticed water had some oil bubbling up and then white smoke began coming out any
 
24' tri hull avalon w 225hp 06' merc opti
25G fresh gas was put in... it does have 5% ethanol.
2 cycle oil was put in plastic oil container in battery compartment
new 4 way battery switch added... 1 -off, 2 -bat 1, 3- bat 1&2, 4- bat 2
new 10amp deep cycle trickle charger added
new toggle switches for nav/anchor, acc, stereo
new 360 degree white nav light added

the engine ran great for 1 day, next day - at 1.5 hrs running- it stopped going forward or reverse...engine idled and powered up and down - towed to dock.
next day visual check, no oil on or around engine... looked at engine fuses - 2 20amp and a 2 amp
turned on good idle, noticed oil dripping up to water surface, then white smoke came out after 5 minutes... turned off and here we are ... unhappy face
