I want to inspect the gears, because when i drained the gear box oil it was thick and BLACK and water came out with it. But having trouble removing bearing and seal carrier, do i need to remove the gear change rod from the box or is it OK to leave it in.I have made a 2 leg puller but at the moment having no luck.
