1980 E4RLCSS 4HP has a fuel pump, but it's not shown in the engine diagrams.....?

I'm considering bringing this engine (serial number E0001131) back to life.
It seems to have compression (I've haven't got a measurement yet) and
the recoil starter seems to work after a shot of WD-40. The plastic throttle
linkage is broken, as is the choke knob. Easy fixes. The slow-speed needle valve
is a bit pricey....$58.

The engine has an integral fuel tank AND a connection for an external tank.
There does not seem to be a switch that allows changing from one tank
to the other. There is no fuel line from the integral fuel-tank shut-off valve to
the carburetor. There is a fuel pump between the external-tank connection
and the carburetor. This fuel pump is not shown on any of the engine
diagrams that I've seen!

So, can this engine be set up to run on either tank....but not easily switch between them?
Where can I look up parts for the fuel pump?
