Good Morning everyone,
I have a 88 2.3L OMC Cobra that I have had an intermittent spark issue with. It did it with the cap and rotor and all new parts so I changed to electronic ignition, starter solenoid, all plugs and wires and new coil with the same problem.... it starts and runs and after about 4 minutes it dies and when we disconnected the coil wire from from the cap there is weak spark coming off the coil high tension lead.
Can anyone direct me to what I need to do next?
Also where is the resistor wire on this boat, I have been told different things. One person told me that its the purple wire off the assist solenoid and then another said its the purple wire that goes to the shift assist to bog the motor when going into gear.
