Hello, I have a 3.3 horse evinrude, model number, HE3REIC, it is a 1991 model, it appears to be almost new, unused that is. I have a "Canoe-maran" I made and the 3.3 hangs between the canoes and pushes it along at ~7 MPH with 4 people in it, gets about 17 MPG doing that. Its been a great little motor for the ~10 hours I have used it, starts very well, and runs reliably.

It does have a plastic prop, which I'm not too stoked on, but it does seem to work just fine, but searching around I see there are aluminum props available for it, is it worth spending the money for a aluminum prop? Are they more efficient? Or are they possibly more fragile than the plastic prop?
