Hi all I have a 2005 Volvo penta 5.0 Osi-f
imits running a bit cold and i Wanted to try a New thermostat
so i took of The housing and The thermostat Is 18-3677
but when i ordered a new thermostat from my volvo
dealer ITS supposed to be part number 3587597 in the osi-f
but this One is to big to FIT up in the housing
So Whats Going on here? Can i use the bigger thermostat and just put it in between the housing and the block?

What's a "bit cold"... the 18-3677 T'stat is a Sierra (aftermarket) 160 F T'stat for a Volvo with a heat exchanger. T'stats need to go where the t'stat flange/recess is... no where else.
