Tie rod rusted out

My 1981 Sea Bird Condor 29' steering tie rod end rusted out and broke last week out in Mobile Bay. It is very rusty. The steering hydraulic cylinder was attached about 7" from the end. The distance between end bolt holes is about 37". Having trouble finding a replacement. See some 37.5" tie rods for Outboard's but no way to attach to cylinder. I could put new ends on my rod but would rather not. Any suggestions?
 
I will check a boat salvage yard first and see if I can find one the same size and the welding shop is next. Thanks for advice.
 
may want to check with a shop that deals with shafts...they will have to tools to resolve any issues you have as well as access to appropriate material...
