1995 evinrude timing

when using a timing light the timing marks show up on two places on the flywheel on # 1 and # 2 cylinders and only one place on #3 cylinder. your thoughts
BY THE WAY IT,S A 70 HP. 3 CYLINDER

Is the timing light pick up hanging down when you clamp it on the wire. You may need to make sure it is clear of the other wires. It sounds like the timing light is picking 2 cylinders at a time.
