ballast resistor

I have a 1978 350 and the ballast resistor fell apart. So old I cannot read part #. Anyone know the OHM or correct part #?

I tend to think there is a not a choice in resistance value. I know there are some with an open element, as opposed to a sealed unit. Due to its a gas boat, don't go for the open element. I'm not a fan of the 1/4" QC on the wiring, but that might limit your choices to zero these days.

These parts are pretty old school these days.

When you say you have a 1978 350, do you mean Crusader model CH350 (454 cubic inch) or 350 cubic inch (Crusader model CH270)? If it's the latter, the Crusader part number looks to be 41064. https://www.marinepartssource.com/crusaderpb/220ap73.asp

This is one part you can get from a good auto parts store....Like Dave said, get the 'sealed' version....if they're insistent on the year, make, etc spiel, just tell them 1965 chevy impala with a 283....or any other pre HEI GM from that era.....its just a current limiter ....

Thanks....tough finding this stuff. Now need to see if they can cross reference a Crusader number

So I am having a helluva time finding a replacement resistor. It's Sierra #18-29904 (i believe) . Everything Sierra is impossible to get b/c of warehouse issues. This has a specific mount and I'm having no luck. 1978 350 (270hp) Crusader. Boating season is slipping away. Any ideas?
