I got a late 70's 115 about a month ago. I put it in at the boat ramp and ran it to my dock. It worked pretty well and shifted nicely ,though I thought it was at a high rpm(no tach, just past experience) for shifting. It shifted smoothly into all 3 gears so I am not worried. The next time I tried to run the motor I had a fuel problem which at least partially turned out to be the check valve in the tank. With this fixed, I can start the engine at warmup throttle, but if I try to throttle down, it stalls. What steps should I take?
