    Default Prop cavitation in turns

It's a 86 Fisher aluminum and I had to build up the transom for the 98 evinrude 25 (that was gove to me) tp fit. It is manual trim. the cavitation plate is flush w the bottom of the boat. But the motor isn't trimmed right while going down the river is the third "notch" on the motor bracket and if I raise it to the fourth if cavitates in turns. Am I going to have to lower my transom to get it as close to the optimal trim as possible? Can post pics later for better understanding if needed. Thanks.
