Battery drain issue

TFD

I am having a problem with the battery draining on my boat. At first I thought it was just time for a new battery. But the battery will charge and the engine start when I'm at the house, but by the time I get to the lake (about 1 1/2 hours away) the battery has drained to the point it won't start. I disconnected all leads to the battery except the main leads to the engine. I then disconnected the negative lead and tested for amp draw across that gap and it shows it is drawing about 1mA with the ignition off. That doesn't seem like enough to drain the battery that quickly, but is that normal?

I disconnected the harnesses from the regulator and the trim switch thinking it may be a short or diode problem. But the amp draw is still showing. I also tried reconnecting the negative battery lead and disconnecting the negative lead at the solenoid and testing across that gap and showed the same power draw.

So I am back to thinking maybe it's just the battery and that amp draw is normal?

thanks for any help.
