Penta SX belllow for u-joints question

I removed it a month ago.. thought there was a expanding metal ring clamp on the propellor side of the old bellow. The volvo brand kit did not include one. Is there supposed to be one or is it plenty tight without one after the outdrive is installed. should I use silicone between the bellow and the metal? I did use the hose clamp up front.
 
I found the answer.. the latest penta brand bellow doesn't require a expanding spring

maybe a good reason not to buy another brand, they state its design lasts longer, too
