Aeration from pontoon motor pod?

Ok.... I get prop blow out at w.o.t is reached
at 5500 rpm's with my 2002 MERCURY 40 hp.
I get it with 3 blade and 4 blade props. I get
it with motor pod and engine lowered 1" with
spacers. It does it with SE SPORTS 200 hydrofoil
added.the motor is mounted as low as possible.
my thinking is the shape of the SunTracker motor
pod is a steep angle and shoving a lot of aerated
water into the prop instead of over the prop like
you would get from a newer flat bottom motor pod
like the picture I posted above. The second picture
is not my boat and motor, but the pod and motor
height is exact to my set-up. My motor is a long shaft
and runs fantastic. (I'd like to use it.) I think at wide
open throttle, that water coming off the motor pod
points the flow right to the middle of the prop, and
feeds more air the faster I go. (Bathtub drain comes
to mind here.) Where do I put my money? On a flatter
pod? Or a extra long shaft extension? I'd hate to see
motor investment still affected by old motor pod.
