I've got a 21 ft.Suntracker pontoon with a 12 1/2" x 9" three
blade prop. Rpm's are 5500(perfect) SPEED 16mph (perfect)
the "top" of the prop blades are 1" below the bottoms of the
pontoons. And I still get prop blow out at wide open throttle.
the engine is as low as it can go. I lowered the whole engine
pod an inch with spacers. I put on a SE SPORTS 200 hydrofoil.
i still get w.o.t. Blowout! I tried a 11 1/2" x 8" four BLADE prop and only got 4000 rpm's.
HAS ANYBODY EVER MOUNTED A HYDROFOIL ON A PONTOON OUTBOARD THAT ELIMINATED BLOW OUT AT W.O.T ???
*my motor is a MERCURY 40hp 2 stroke...20" long shaft.
I have no unusual water spray behind the pontoon currently.
(the four blade gripped the water better, but still blew out to.)
