1996 9.9 force

Recently picked up a 1996 force 9.9 hp. I can hook fuel line from tank prime the bulb and disconnect fuel line and pull it a few times it will fire up and run for 10-15 seconds. If I try to hook line up while it's running it immediately dies. The motor won't even start at all with it hooked up. What would cause this. I have checked fuel pump looks good. Carb was just rebuilt. Thanks

Thought I'd heard everything but this is new??

Bad part I have no idea what would cause this.

Yeah it's a new one on me too. Can't figure it out. Motor runs great when it runs for its 15-20 seconds lol. But we all know that's useless to someone who wants to use it
