my 92 Donzi Sweet 16 had a OMC Cobra 5.0, I am replacing the entire drivetrain with a Penta 5.0.
regarding the big plug that attaches to the entire boat, instruments,ignition, etc.. it was plugged into the OMC engine harness. Now that engine harness is replaced with a Penta engine harness. The big plug fits right in, are these plugs and wiring positions universal?? do I need to get a schematic from a 92 Donzi and compare it to 94 Larson to see if everything will lead to the correct instruments, ignition, etc. hopefully the marine world made this universal or maybe since Penta bought OMC in 93 they just continued using that plug and coding. does anybody know?? maybe Mercruiser's are also the same.
the Penta boat side has 1 more wire then the Donzi.. one of the positions are inactive.
I have the schematic for the Larson.. if it needs confirmation maybe someone has a link to a 92 Donzi 16 OMC
