40 hp approx age from pic

Cant seem to get the serial number but here's a pic. My guess is late 80's ? I'd like to turn it into a tiller if its a 2 cylinder.

This serial number is showing to be a 1984/85 depending on what program you use to look it up. The Model Number 7040525 that comes up under the serial number has it as 1985 while the look up chart shows 1984.
