I purchased a new tilt trim gauge and installed it over the weekend and it is not sending or receiving the right signal, the lever on the motor has a couple inches of travel and at about mid travel the gauge needle moves from the top of the gauge all the way down but the arm on the sending unit is only moving about a 1/4 inch of the 2" or 3" of travel it has I'm at loss. on the gage between the signal post and the ignition post there is a resister I think, could this have to be changed to match my sending unit?
