Good day!
I purchased the above motor about 15 years ago, hooked it on the back of my 1963 Herters Alaskan 15ft fishing machine and there it sat until last week.
I put it in the 55 gallon drum and fired it up but the gas line was sucking air and engine quit every time the gas burned up so I swapped it out for a different gas line model and fired it up and she purz like a kitten. My question is two fold. Where do I find the year and model number and how will this particular 18HP Twinfast push the mighty Herters fishing boat? She's fiberglass and heavier/sturdier than an aluminum. Is there anything else you can share with me about the motor?
