Remote oil tank 1988 Yamaha 130 hp

last time on water cranked engine low oil alarm came on,removed cowl hit emergrncy oil pump switch nothing happened .manually filled engine tank and finished my day.Does emergency switch operate the oil feed pump in remote tank? if so then I need to replace pump in remote tank? 1988 Yamaha 130 HP,2stroke Model 130ETLG
 
You need to listen for the pump in the remote tank when you activate the fill switch. If you hear the pump run, pull the tank and replace the filter on the bottom. Then retest. Also empty the tank and clean it out.
 
Pump in remote tank does not run as it has in the past. Also does not run when emergency switch is used, so is pump in remote tank need to be replaced or control box w/emergency switch?
