How available are parts for newer tohatsu motors. Are they quick to get once you order them ? Who has experience with this? I want to repower and this is a concern with me making my decision on which motor to buy. Are most parts readily available? I am told that Yamaha has extensive part availability and most others are a crap shoot. Long delays etc. who has knowledge on this. Thanks.
 
I typically get parts for Tohatsu products from the main warehouse in Dallas, and it takes about 2 days. You can get them faster, if willing to pay for overnight or second-day. Commonly-used items such as carb kits and water pump kits are often in stock locally at your dealer. Many suppliers got scared after the economic downturn of 08, and were under-stocked nationally. That's no longer any real issue, AFAIK.
