2001 125 hp 2stroke will not rev above idle, returning home from outing and pushed throttle down hard and lost all revs, could only come back on idle speed only, checked control unit and cables to motor seem ok

With cowling off visually inspect throttle linkage for movement when remote is pushed forward, remove airbox in front of carbs.to see if throttle plates are opening up allthe way "horizontal"
