My 50hp 4cycle EFI accelerates abruptly from idle of aprox 1000 rpm to 2500 - 3000 rpm no matter how slowly you advance the throttle.
It's dangerous. Merc HQ responded to my inquiry email quickly but just passed the buck to "your dealer". My dealer wants me to leave the boat for a week. That's scary. Surely someone has had this problem or knows something about it's possible cause. Please.
