Thread: Engine ID

    Default Engine ID

    Guys,

I have posted this plea on the OMC site because I am trying to ID my engine.

I have a 6 cylinder diesel engine fitted in my 33ft workboat, here is what I have.

I have been told it is a 70hp Ford Mermaid engine and the only serial ID I have is MP470.

    Any ideas?

If its an MP470, thats the model number, not the serial number....the link will take you were you can find more info on the current version. appears to be UK source....i couldn't tell you who's block is used...
