Need help identifying my Johnson outboard PLEASE!!!

I recently purchased a 88 Bayliner with I was told was a 1991 225hp Johnson. The motor has been painted over as you can tell in the pictures and I am unable to locate the model # on the transom bracket. The serial # on the freeze plug appears to be 63041597. I greatly appreciate any help anyone can give me in identifying the year and model of my motor so that I can order a factory repair manual. Thank you!!!

Look on the cylinder head for a number then type that into google. do the same with any numbers on other parts and eventually you can narrow it down to a few years.
I know its a long route but it works.
