I bought what I thought was a 87,88 150 XR2 black max. After cleaning years of calcium off the mount i found a serial #. It also matches the one on the power head (stamped on a small freeze plug). The serial # is B130247 . This is not included in the 2.0L XR2 parts or at least what i can tell. HELP!! Iam wondering what this motor is.
 
Thanks guys for the info. My confusion came when I went to the parts for a XR2 and the S/N was not included in the range that was listed.
 
Anybody know how I can determine if this one has the XR2 advance box and divider plate? Also is there a differance in the gear ratio?
