Force tilt trim problem

Please help 1988 force 125 hp new pump and motor not working properly.
Tilts up just fine but won't tilt down. it acts like it's going to go down but just bumps down about half an inch and then bounces back up. everything sounds fine it just won't go down.
Frustrated and discouraged please help.
 
If there is air in the lines it will do that. Have you checked your reservoir for fluid level. Lower it all the way down loosen screw slowly to let air out and top it off. Also inspect any and all lines and unit itself for leaks. It's a small system look close!
 
After topping off reservoir,cycle trim several times if possible, then let sit in the down position for several hours till bubbles dissipate,then top off reservoir again,repeat
 
WWhere is the screw that I need to loosen to bleed the air out. I've tried to bleed any air that I could by loosening the lines going to the tilt cylinder. thanks for your help I do appreciate any input.
