Default Tamd41 head gasket change advice

Hi. Stripped engine. Now down to the tricky bit.

1.do i set TDC before removing head?

    2. Whats the next move? Do i just unbolt the valve cover, then rocker arm? And does it come out in bits? Will valves start dropping out :/

    3. On my tamd22, tdc was on the flywheel, and its was TDC all the time with the hole lined up, on these could it be on the wrong stroke to be TDC, i.e. 180 out??

Has anyone got tourqe settings for parts ive unbolted.

    Cheers everyone

might be a good idea to get a shop manual for your application

If you are changing the head gasket, no need to worry about TDC. Yep, just remove valve cover, then rocker shaft. Next, pull out the pushrods by hand. Try to keep them in order. Remove head bolts and pry up head.
