So, I've been fortunate to find an almost brand new motor, in europe were I reside. This one was sold without any generator (12v 10A) and now I'm looking for advice on fitting one myself.
I have a small motorcycle battery in the boat for my fishfinder (12v 12Ah) and would love to mount it permanent in the boat instead of taking it home to charge every now and then.
Is it a sort of "large scale operation" to get a charge coil and whatever more I need? What do I need by the way?
I mean the rotor/stator is allready there for the ignition, right? And everything else under the "hood" is brand new, all the wiring and fittings are absolute pristine.
Perhaps someone has the time to explain what is needed?
And also if someone wants to link to a picture of how the Yamaha original 12volt outlet looks like when fitted to a motor? Where is it located?
