I have a 1996 90hp force and the magnets on my flywheel broke and messed up the brushes on my stator I found a flywheel for a 1996 60hp force will that work or do I need one for exact horsepower
 
I believe those are two different series of motors, but you never know. Agreed on doing a part number check. You can use this site for that; just look them up and jot down the numbers.
