trim issue

Hey guys, I have a 91 mercury 60hp outboard. I'm kind of dumbfounded by what I have found. I have replaced both relays and the starter relay. I have cleaned all the ground points and reattached everything. My trim pump run when connected directly to the battery. I'm getting power into both relays but not out to the pump. Of course they click. I would like to think it's a ground issue but I don't really see how. Are there any tricks to bypass the relay or do you think it's just going to have to be rewired?

okay, I bypassed the relay with a jumper wire and the trim worked again. I guess maybe the female connector is not getting a good enough bite on the male end? thoughts?
