stator or switch box

I done some digging and found a post galamb posted on testing for switch box and stator. The post said check ohm on stator between blue and blue/ white and red and red/white the where good. It also said check red and blue to ground there should be no continuity on them but i read 1.232 m ohms on both. Is this too much? It also said to swap red and blue and the strip red and blue on the switch box, if the the dead two cylinders swap then it is the stator mine i just lose the other two cylinders that where firing. Not sure which is the issue.

Info is not quite correct for testing...which cylinder are not firing? If its 1&3 or 2&4 its a trigger.

If the stator and trigger test good very likely the switchbox is bad. Have you swapped coils around to see if the problem follows the coil?

I myself don't like ohm testing a stator ..I DVA test em....My vote is switchbox.

I am working on a 2002 50hp 3 cyl 2stroke, no spark at all. I have replaced the rectifier, trigger, stator. Does this engine have a switch box. on the engine diagram I see the rev limiter just above the rectifier. Is the rev limiter also the switch box? Can all three coils be bad? I have eliminated the kill circuit.
