Can I use counter rotating as a single?

I have been searching for a used outboard, only 1, not twins.
I found a c/r engine cheap, can I run that as a single?
I can't think of any major drawbacks to this but am I missing something?
On a 2006 200HP Evinrude the rotation is changed in the lower unit ? So just the lower unit is different?

and you can buy very cheap props too as not many people want left handers.
Michigan wheel sell off loads of leftys dirt cheap.
 
I've had one in use as a single for almost 28 years....if it really bothers you....switch the gear case with a RH unit. I have 2 for my 150HP...thats the only difference.
