1986 Force 125 outboard

Hi all,

This is a first boat/motor purchase and I'm interested in learning how to do my own repairs. So far the motor runs pretty good, but that might not last.

I see on the (boats.net) parts list link that some parts for this motor are obsolete. In particular, right now I'm looking for a new prop and spacer, Its a H1251X6B motor by the way.

I've also looked on ebay and amazon for the plastic prop spacer (flare) part # F53299 but its not available. The one on the prop is chipped but usable so not that big a deal but might be down the road.

However, there are many other parts that are obsolete, so I'm wondering what to do if I need a part that is unavailable or obsolete?
