I purchased a Sierra fuel pump part number 18-7278 in June and installed it. now, jut 3 months later, the diaphragm is leaking and mechanic said it is disintegrating- probably from ethanol fuel. is there a fuel pump manufactured that has diaphragm/gasket that is not susceptible to ethanol deterioration? or is it possible it was a very old part to begin with or that it was defective?
