Picked up a Mariner 8 HP recently from a really nice gentleman in SoCal. I don't have a service history but the seller said he'd recently changed the impeller and gear drive oil.
I am interested in doing a general tune-up and service but have no idea where to source a factory service manual - I have read that the Selco versions are too vague to be of much use. I have no preference whether computer or printed versions.
My understanding is these are essentially Yamaha 8B motors. The serial number states it as 677 S 056320 which makes it a 1982 model? (Please correct me if wrong).
Any tips and advice greatly appreciated.
