New to these boards, first time boat owner, just bought some old 1974 Reinell off craigslist. Inboard/Outboard 140hp2.3L OMC. It has this boat leg that I have noticed many mechanics locally don't like. One called it the "white anchor" lol. Figured the price was right for me to learn on my first boat. While i've done quite a bit of work on it already, there is a problem i'm having that I can't seem to find an answer to online.
If i'm driving the boat, and look behind me at my wake, there is water spraying into the air from the left side of the leg when I get to a decent speed. I wouldn't go as far as describe it as a rooster tail, but it's not right. Nothing from the right side, just the left.
I've noticed that since this has begun, the boat wants to lean more to the right, opposite side of the boat. I'm thinking it's related.
Any ideas on what this may be?
