1977 Evinrude 85HP impeller change.

I have changed many Mercury water pump impellers, but am new to Evinrude. I understand there are several ways Evinrude shift shafts disconnect at the top. Looking at mine, I can't tell how to disconnect it, or if it needs to be disconnected. Can someone give me a hint before I start to remove my lower unit?

Behind the lower carburetor is the location to look for the pin.--------Now use a 5/8" wrench to loosen those linkage arms so they spread to disengage that pin.
 
Take lower cowling off first to gain access,there's a 3/8ths bolt i believe that goes thru shaft from port side to starboard side horizontally remove it 1/4 inch drive wobble will get it with an extension!
