I just purchased a 18' center console with a 1989 mariner 150 serial number 0c219976. I have been going over it replacing all hoses and fuel lines, seals and cleaning the carburetors but during the process the the main jet plug broke off into one of the carburetors. I could not extracted the broken piece out of the fuel bowl, so I started the process of hunting down a center carburetor with the same numbers (WH 48) as the other two that I have. Having no luck with that all I really needed was the fuel bowl so I came across a set of WH 31 carburetors which I think came off a 200 hp motor. I was wondering if I can swap out the WH-48 carbs with the WH-31 carbs, would I see a performance difference and would I have to replace any other components to make it work properly?

Just find a bottom bowl......swapping carbs will require rejetting of idles and mains. You cannot just swap the jets from you old to new as emulsion tubes and passages are different sizes.
