I am overhauling the water pump in my 1999 Yamaha 2 HP and can't get the oil seals to seat in the pump housing.
The Yamaha pump rebuild kit came with two seals that are the same size and are supposed to sit on top of each other. The problem is that the channel through the housing is "stepped" and the first seal gets hung up on it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
