Default Velvet Drive Transmission Heating up

to all, first I am not the best mechanic and I'm trying to figure out a problem I'm having with one of my transmissions on my 1999 41pc formula. I have what appears to be quicksilver, model 805495R59 velvet drive transmission that is heating up a causing an alarm after 60 minutes plus of normal use. the transmission runs fine, shifts fine, sounds fine, just gets hot. could this just be a problem simple as the cooler?

Yes it could be a dirty or partially blocked cooler but also make sure the shift lever on the trans goes all the way forward. If not, the control valve on the trans does not send enough oil thru the cooler
