Hi. I have 1972 Luhrs 320 with Paragon transmissions. My port tranny has a 25-30 second delay when putting it in reverse. Forward works fine and the fluid level is good. Anyone have any ideas ?
 
I had this same issue in a 1973 Luhrs, Apparently on some models you can adjust the reversing band however I was unable to do so in mine. I ended up accepting the fact that my reverse band was likely worn and needed replacing. I ran the boat for years before selling.
