I have a 1996 60 HP Mariner. Got it out of storage today and it turns over fine but doesn't have spark on any cylinder . I think the coils are OK and thinking there is no current getting to the coils. Any advice /help in figuring this problem out would be appreciated.

Help, I got the motor running and put in a new water pump which went fine. Problem is that when I reinstalled the lower unit the transmission in the lower unit is in forward when the shift/ throttle control at steering wheel are in reverse position and vice versa. If I put both throttle /shift control and lower unit in forward and install lower unit I have only forward. Tried every combination of shifter / throttle position and lower unit shift shaft position I could think of. Crux of problem seems to be that shift shaft in lower unit and shift shaft in upper unit move in opposite directions. Cant figure this one out.
